Research:
My research interests are in genomics, evolution, and animal science. I use genomic data to understand how species have adapted to their environments. My current research focuses on how introgressed genes from domestic pigs of Asia and European origins have aided in the adaptation of domestic pigs in the African environment.
I am also investigating the effect of heat stress on livestock productivity. Specifically, I am studying how heat stress measured as temperature humidity index is impacting cow conception rate and milk yield.
