The individual research labs in The Department of Biology possess the necessary equipment, instrumentation, and supplies to support each faculty member’s research studies. Faculty research is supported further by the presence of facilities available for use by members of the research community in the Department of Biology (see listing below):
The Plant and Pollinator Center (PPC) is a research, teaching, and community outreach facility located at the Gateway Research Park North Campus. The PPC is part of the UNCG Biology Department but is also a center for collaborative research across UNCG departments and with other institutions.
The mission of the Wetlands Project is to promote the construction of campus wetlands suitable for aesthetic, ecological, educational, and research purposes. As a campus that prides itself on its beauty, commitment to sustainability, and education on environmental issues, UNCG is situated to construct small wetland habitats for environmental, educational, and research purposes.
