Research

My lab focuses on community ecology and biodiversity – what is biodiversity, how is it created and maintained, and how is global change altering it? We are field-based and hypothesis-driven and utilizing plant and animal communities in North America (e.g., tallgrass prairie, longleaf pine savanna) and around the world (e.g., South African savannas, Central Asian steppes, meta-analysis and synthesis). We explore both basic and applied ecology and love to collaborate!
