Dr. Bobay was awarded a grant from NIH (5 years of funding). He was the lead PI on the grant and Dr. Daniel Schrider from UNC-CH was Co-PI. The total amount is about 1.8M. The title of the proposal is “Investigating the impact and patterns of homologous recombination and adaptive evolution on bacterial genomes”.
