Congratulations goes out to Dr. Martin Tsz-Ki Tsui and Dr. Parke Rublee for their new NSF award entitled “RAPID: Flooding-mediated alteration of microbial mercury methylation in coastal wetlands.” This is an award specifically about consequences of Hurricane Matthew on mercury and carbon cycles in coastal rivers in South Carolina. This work will add to our understanding of both coastal wetland systems and global mercury and carbon cycling and will support graduate student research in Biology at UNCG.
