The fourth issue of Symbiosis includes a feature of graduate research in the field and a special letter from Dr. Rob Cannon on his adventures in phased retirement. Our featured faculty spotlight is Dr. John Tomkiel Dean and Dr. Parke Rublee.

The third issue of Symbiosis includes a feature of SAI Lab, a local buisness started and ran by a UNCG Biology alumnus. Our featured undergraduate student is Dominick DeFelice and Dr. Amy Adamson and Dr. Matina Kalcounis-Rueppell are featured in the faculty spotlight. We’re also happy to present some alumni updates.

In the second issue of Symbiosis we include Dr. Leise’s speech to the Spring 2013 Biology Graduates as well as a feature on an excellent undergraduate student — Jonah Nikouyeh, and two more faculty spotlights. We also feature two of our successful alumni.

This issue of Symbiosis includes an introductory letter from our department head, Dr. Stan Faeth, an article on Dr. Bruce Kirchoff’s award winning software as well as an article highlighting the department’s involvement in this year’s Science Olympiad.
