On Saturday, 10 February 2018, the Triad Tech Savvy Find Your STEM event was held at the Joint School of Nanotechnology and Nanoengineering. This event was designed for ninth through twelfth grade girls from in and around Guilford County to help them learn more about academic and career successes as women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). They received the opportunity to hear from research professionals about their current work, and they were able to speak with current female college students about their journey into STEM. The high school students were provided with a tool kit and given the chance to develop and submit their plans to earn awards and prizes. This event was a collaboration between American Association of University Women Greensboro and the Joint School of Nanotechnology and Nanoengineering.
