Invited Speaker, Dr. Kurt Gust from ERDC
Dr. Bhandari has invited Dr. Kurt Gust to give a seminar at the Department of Biology on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Dr. Gust is a Team Leader of Environmental Genomics and Systems Biology (EGSB) at the US Army, Engineer Research and Development Center. The EGSB team includes six Ph.D. level principle investigators, one M.S. level research scientist and 2 B.S. laboratory technicians working together to solve complex environmental problems using cutting edge biotechnology approaches.
The Gust Group is currently investigating ecotoxicology and toxicogenomics of military compounds. Dr. Bhandari and Dr. Gust have a collaborative research project on transgenerational health effects of munition compounds.
