Ecotoxicological risk assessments are increasingly using ecological models to predict the effects of chemicals on populations, communities, and ecosystems. These models integrate various data, including species traits and chemical exposure, to assess risks and inform mitigation strategies, offering a more comprehensive and predictive approach compared to traditional methods.
