Cell adhesions as integrators and actuators during collective epithelial migration

September 24 @ 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Speaker: Katy Rothenberg
Visiting From: University of Iowa
Topic: Cell adhesions as integrators and actuators during collective epithelial migration
Host: Nick Ader
In my lab we study the mechanisms epithelial cells use to migrate together, a process that sculpts tissues during development but also allows the spread of metastatic cancer. We aim to understand the role of cell adhesions, the connections cells make with their neighbors and the extracellular environment.
