The Eastern Apicultural Society awarded Dr. Olav Rueppell the James I. Hambleton Memorial Award for Research Excellence in Apiculture. The award ceremony took place at this year’s EAS conference in Hampton, VA, which also featured an award lecture by Rueppell entitled “Transmission dynamics of honey bee viruses and the queen”.
