Two of our lab’s Undergrad researchers, Kirsten Mitchell and Kate Tirrell, presented a poster of their work at the 17th annual Carolyn and Norwood Thomas Undergraduate Research and Creativity Expo, held on April 6. They took home the 3rd place prize for their presentation! Congrats to Kirsten and Kate.

We’ve been awarded funding through UNCG’s Internal Award program for our research study “Epstein-Barr virus upregulates glycolysis to promote viral replication and persistence.” Alexis will be carrying out this project and we are excited to get started!

ASV2022 was held in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin. It was great to see everyone in person and hear about all of the exciting research going on! And cheese curds were a definite plus.
