Randall Hayes
Research
I did research in biomedical and computational neuroscience before switching over to education. I have taught at high schools, community colleges, and universities both public and private. My current interests lie in bridging those academic bubbles to the larger worlds of employment and engagement with real-world problems.
In addition to the specialized world of grant applications, I also write about science for more general audiences. I have published articles in local outlets such as UNCG Research and Saathee as well as in genre magazines like the Intergalactic Medicine Show, Utopia Science Fiction, and Australia’s The Anti-Humanist. Stories have appeared in Lackington’s Speculative Fiction (Canada) and Mars: a Hard SF Anthology by Mohs 5.5.
