"Fantastic Voyage" - Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in Room 201 Sullivan Building Show starts at 7pm.
A miniaturized submarine is placed in a human body to travel to a blood clot to remove it. The crew faces obstacles as they pass through the heart, lungs, and ears to reach the clot. Stars Stephen Boyd and Raquel Welch.
"Wit" – Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Room 201 Sullivan Building, at 7pm.
WIT is the made-for-TV (HBO) adaptation (teleplay by Emma Thompson and Mike Nichols, who directs) of Margaret Edson's Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name. Although the title evokes an assumption of humor, its true intent is to express the concept of human intellect. It's an intensely emotional, heartbreaking story that portrays the devastation of one woman's battle with not only her terminal illness, but also with her own self-perception.
"GATTACA" – Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Room 201 Sullivan Building at 7pm.
GATTACA is about a future world where children are selected through preimplantation genetic diagnosis to be sure that they possess the best hereditary traits of their parents. The film stars Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and Jude Law.
