UNCG Biology Undergraduate and Summer Intern Win 2nd Place at 2014 Undergraduate Research Expo
The 2014 UNCG Undergraduate Research Expo featured 111 presentations by 158 students representing 39 academic departments. UNCG Biology undergraduate, Jonathan Nelson, and summer intern from the NC School of Science & Math, Shan Yu, won 2nd place in the Life, Mathematical and Physical Sciences category for their poster "Epigenetic Modulation of WNT5A Expression in the Human Colorectal Cell Line HCT-116". Both Jonathan and Shan are mentored by UNCG Biology Associate Professor, Dr. Karen Katula. Congratulations Jonathan and Shan!
