Dr. Elizabeth Lacey & Her Conservation Biology Class Featured on UNCG Homepage
UNCG Biology Professor, Dr. Elizabeth Lacey and her Conservation Biology class are currently being featured on the UNCG Biology Homepage for their work in establishing a 'Piedmont Prairie' in Peabody Park. Last spring the class led a controlled burn of the area. Dr. Lacey adds that "the burning process itself helps to release nutrients from the shoots, the above ground vegetation which is sitting on top of the soil.
