Dr. Matina Kalcounis-Ruppell Interviewed by WUNC About White Nose Syndrome in Bats

Dr. Matina Kalcounis-RuppellDr. Matina Kalcounis-Ruppell, UNCG Biology Associate Professor and Graduate Director, was recently interviewed by local National Public Radio (NPR) station, WUNC, about a deadly disease being spread amongst North Carolina bats. The disease is White Nose Syndrome and while it had previously remained geographically outside of North Carolina caves, it seems as if North Carolianian bats are starting to suffer.
