Welcome to the UNCG Social Insect Lab !
I use honey bees as my main model to study a variety
of exciting biological questions. Specifically, I am interested in
the genetics of complex traits, genomics, social behavior, and aging.
In addition, I address the urgent problem of honey bee health by
studying intestinal stem cells and the interactions of
parasitic Varroa mites with their honey bee hosts.
In addition, this website contains information about past and present
members of my research group, my teaching experience, and a
collection of links that may be of general interest.
