Undergraduate Advising -- Biology
This page includes instructions for students seeking information about advising in the UNCG Biology Department. This information is only pertinent to the Biology Department and does not apply to any other academic departments on campus.
Advising for undergraduate biology majors -- undergraduate students that have greater than 24 earned credit hours -- during the Spring and Fall semesters is carried out on as needed basis. Undergraduate majors will receive their advising code via email and can choose to meet with their advisor if they feel that they need additional help. Instructions on finding your advisor can be found below.
Undergraduate biology majors requiring advising during the Summer Sessions need to contact the Biology Department via email: email@example.com, for an advisor that has summer availability. Please be advised that not every faculty member is available in the summer and the available faculty members will meet with you as their schedule permits.
UNDERGRADUATE UNDECLARED MAJORS
UNDERGRADUATE TRANSFER STUDENTS
Transfer students with less than 24 earned credit hours need to contact the College of Arts & Sciences Advising to schedule an appointment to be advised. Transfer students with greater than 24 earned credit hours will be advised as undergraduate majors. (See above section.)
Please contact the UNCG Biology Department via email, firstname.lastname@example.org, for an advisor.
All new freshmen will be advised at SOAR. See http://soar.uncg.edu/ for more information.
Students with any other questions or concerns are welcome to contact the UNCG Biology Department via email: email@example.com. Please be sure to use your valid UNCG email when emailing the department about advising questions or concerns; using a third party email address may cause unforseeable delays in assisting you with your query.
